The JOFRA MLC multi loop calibrator offers a wide choice
of measuring, simulation and calibration combinations
including autostepping, ramping, transmitter
calibration, scaling, selectable standards, cold
junction compensation, loop testing and more.
The MLC enable you measure and simulate mA, V, mV, Ohm,
loop supply, transmitters, thermocouples and RTD's. A
built-in Pt100 Class A sensor ensures accurate cold
junction compensation when using thermocouples.
Thermocouple and RTD simulations may be performed while
both mA input and transmitter power supply remain
available for connection. This pocket-size calibrator
can also provide 24 VDC power for 4-20 mA and 0-20 mA
transmitters.

| Complete
loop calibration |

| In
order to maintain consistent quality of manufactured
products, it is necessary to perform periodic
calibrations on process sensors and instruments. There
are several philosophies for calibration of the
measurement and control circuits. The most obvious and
representative method is to calibrate the complete
measurement circuit - i.e. from the sensor through the
transmitter to the indicator or controller. |

Split
loop calibration
|
|
|
Each
component of the process measurement and control loop is
calibrated as an independent item.
The transmitter can be calibrated using a precision
signal calibrator (JOFRA MLC or MODCAL ll). The
indicator or controller can be calibrated either as
described for the transmitter or by using the MACAL loop
calibrator which simulates an output of 4-20 mA
proportional to the temperature (or pressure). The
sensor part can be brought to the workshop for a
timesaving automatic calibration.
