Levenhuk Ra 200RC F8 Carbon OTA is designed specifically for astrophotography and has a focal length of 63.9 inches and an objective lens diameter of 8 inches. The main feature of this tube is its shell made of carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer, material that makes the tube lighter and allows decreasing focal length dependency on temperature spans. This material also makes for quick recovery of the thermal equilibrium due to its low coefficient of thermal expansion and high thermal conduction.
As every other Levenhuk Ra Ritchey-Chrétien telescope tube, this model has a quartz primary mirror covered with 99% reflection power dielectric coating. This model is also equipped with a dual-speed Crayford focuser that ensures high precision focusing with no backlash.
The model comes with a built-in fan for cooling the primary mirror. Another important advantage of Levenhuk Ra 200RC F8 Carbon OTA compared to Newtonian telescopes is its smaller dimensions so a smaller mount can be used.
We recommend using the Levenhuk 0.75x focal reducer with any Ritchey-Chrétien model.
