3GHz Spectrum Analyzer
| Featuring high performance, uncompromised
design, and remote monitoring software, the GSP-830 3GHz Spectrum
Analyzer is the latest evolution from GWInstek. The GSP-830 is one
of the most advanced Spectrum Analyzer GWInstek has produced to date.
The GSP-830 has an exceptional noise floor of -152dBm/Hz; combined with
the optional GAP-802 preamplifier, the noise floor can reach a
remarkable -172dBm/Hz. With a low noise floor, the GSP-830 is more than
capable of finding limits; Trace Detection, combined with an easy-to-use
interface, makes the GSP-830 an ideal solution for spectrum
analysis. Using the Auto Sequence mode, advanced users can define their
own macros in 10 Sequence sets. Repeat or Single run mode can be used to
streamline repetitive tasks. PC connection is effortless and versatile
supporting USB host/device, RS232C, VGA and GPIB (optional) for remote
monitoring, control and analysis. |
| KEY
FEATURES |
GW Instek now extends its Spectrum Analyzer product series up to 3GHz.
As a new member, the GSP-830 inherits the advantages of high
performance, affordable cost, ease of use, and light-weight portability,
which are common in GW Instek products. Moreover, its extremely low
noise floor greatly increases the measurement range, an advanced user
interface brings a significant visual enhancement, and the rich
measurement functions make measurements simple and easy. The GSP-830
offers the greatest performance/price value in the market. |
|
Wide
Measurement Range
With GW Instek's state-of-the-art design, the GSP-830's outstanding low
noise floor level of -152dBm/Hz at 1GHz has extreme sensitivity for
picking up weak signals. Along with the GAP-802 20dB-gain preamplifier,
the GSP-830 reaches an equivalent noise floor level as low as
-172dBm/Hz, further extending the measurement range.
|
|
Automatic
Measurement
The GSP-830 can act as an automatic test instrument to eliminate the
need for external computer control. Macros can be defined through the
front panel keypad and stored into 10 Sequence sets. A sequence can
include pause steps that can be used for observing the measurement
results when necessary. Repeat or Single run mode can be selected based
on application requirements.
|
|
Portable
Power Operations
Equipped with two packs of Li-ion batteries, the GSP-830 can maintain
normal operation for more than 3 hours. In DC operation mode, the
GSP-830 can be powered by a 12-Volt power supply or a standard cigarette
lighter in an automobile. The large internal memory of the GSP-830 means
mass storage of measured traces, setup information, limit lines and
user-defined macros is possible. With USB flash drive support for mass
storage, weighing 6kg and a compact size, the GSP-830 is also a
convenient tool for service engineers out in the field.
|
|
Advanced
User Interface
The user-oriented interface design of the GSP-830 gives users the
pleasure of handling complicated measurements with ease. A
high-resolution 6.4" color TFT LCD provides crisp and clear images.
Colored, user-defined traces allow small disparities to be seen at a
glance. The Split-Window mode allows simultaneous monitoring of two
different frequency bands on a single display. Under this split-window
mode, the GSP-830 acts like two spectrum analyzers packed into single
unit.
|
|
Feature-Rich
Interface
The USB host port on the front panel supports flash drives for various
functions, including loading/saving setup information, tracing data, and
capturing screens. The rear panel USB slave port is used for PC
remote control. The GSP-830's screen image can be sent directly to
external monitors through the VGA port on the rear panel. These features
make it easy to remotely monitor the results in special circumstances,
such as EMI testing, group presentations, or discussions. |
|
Free PC
Software for the GSP-830
Through RS-232 or USB connection, EagleShot can transfer measurement
data from the GSP-830 to a PC. Data can be printed as graphs or saved as
a text file for further analysis. With the EagleShot software, the limit
lines can be uploaded from the GSP-830 or edited directly on the PC. For
marking and reading the captured signals on the PC screen, markers can
be placed directly on the PC display as easily as doing it on the
GSP-830 front panel. The latest version of EagleShot supports the
GSP-830 in various application fields whilst maintaining compatibility
with the GSP-827.
