It uses a catalytic sensor, which does not consume any chemical
substance.

The Moisture Meter Model CA847 is designed to measure the
level of moisture in wood and construction materials such as
plaster and roughcast, etc. The measurement principle is as
follows: an electric current is passed through the two
electrodes in order to measure the impedance variation due to
the moisture in the material.
The meter gives a direct reading of the level of moisture in
wood, expressed as a % of H2O between six and 100%. For other
construction materials, the meter determines the Wood Moisture
Equivalency (WME).
Features also include two 20-LED display scales, replaceable

including split pairs, shorts, opens, reversed pairs and
crossed wires. An audible and visual warning is given when a

and indicates the distance to cable faults and

alphanumeric, TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer) cable

length of power and communication cables and to indicate
the distance to a fault on the cable. The unit measures

circuit faults to a range of 6000 ft (2000m). Results
are displayed on a highly visible electroluminescent

library of standard cable types enabling accurate
measurement without the necessity of entering Velocity
of Propagation (Vp) information. The Model CA7024 also

NON-CONTACT HIGH VOLTAGE DETECTOR Model275HVD....$395.00
The Model 275HVD is designed to detect the presence of
high voltage, a range of 80V to 275kV, without
physical contact.
An eight position rotary switch selects the detection
range. As the lightweight sensor is moved closer to
the voltage-carrying conductor, its sensor head picks
up the radiated electric field. Once the range
threshold is reached, audible and visual indicators
warns the operator of live conductors. A universal
spline on the back-end facilitates attachment to any
standard hot stick.
