Balometer® Capture Hoods

A capture hood (flow measuring hood) is an instrument used to measure volumetric air flows from supply or exhaust diffusers and grilles. Capture hoods make fast, repeatable measurements. There are several models and hood sizes available to meet the wide variety of user needs.

Choose from the following Alnor Balometer Capture Hoods:

NEW...EBT721 Balometer® Capture Hood
An ergonomically-designed electronic balancing tool, it features a detachable multi-purpose digital manometer that can be used with a variety of common test and balance tools, such as pitot, air foil, temperature, RH/temperature probes or a 16-point velocity matrix.
  Standard Balometer® Capture Hood
This easy to use capture hood uses a mechanical swinging vane anemometer, so it requires no batteries or power source. It is easy to observe trend values on the analog display.
  LoFlo Balometer® Capture Hood
This light weight capture hood utilizes thermal anemometry technology for excellent low flow accuracy. It features a unique LCD simulated analog display to show air trends and digital readings.
  Balometer Jr.® Capture Hood
This small size capture hood is designed for measurement in tight spaces. It uses the same swinging vane technology as the Standard Balometer Capture Hood and features an easy to read analog display.
  Electronic Balometer® Capture Hood
This capture hood uses thermal anemometry to measure volumetric flow. It can store readings and output to a MicroPrinter or download to a PC. The removable meter can be used with available probes to measure velocity, temperature or relative humidity.
