Installation is simple and the Insertion Flow Meter can easily be moved from site to site.

 

Digital Computer The Digital Flow Computer is easily calibrated for all pipe diameters and any flow rate units including gpm, cfs, m3/sec and acre feet.  Units and diameters can be easily changed in the field.  The computer contains a water flow totalizer that can be viewed with the push of a button.  The Flow Computer will last for at least two years on its internal batteries.  NOTE:  The pulse output option will reduce the battery lifetime. The engineering units for instantaneous and total flow and scaling values for pipe diameters are entered in with a simple two-button system using the lookup table in the owner's manual.  Setup takes less than 5 minutes.

Turbo-Prop The velocity meter incorporates a unique Turbo-Prop propeller sensor that uses the most accurate positive displacement technique that is highly accurate over a wide range of flow rates.  Global Water's flow meters have a propeller that rotates freely on its bearing shaft with no mechanical interconnections for minimal friction.  Magnetic material in the propeller tip passes the pickup coil in the housing producing electrical impulses which are carried to the readout display by internal wiring.  The Turbo-Prop, is easily removed for cleaning or replacement. The digital water meter is much more accurate than paddle wheel flowmeter type sensors that are non-linear at low and high water velocities. Debris-Shedding Design The unique debris-shedding bar guides debris away from the propeller. In addition, the Turbo-Prop trails the shedding bar so debris that comes off the shedding bar slips past the Turbo-Prop.
