Thermoregulators For Clip On Control |
| Inventors of the "Clip On" thermoregulator in 1948, Techne
now offers five "Clip On" units. These Thermoregulators will convert
your existing liquid bath or container into a precision temperature
controlled bath with exceptional thermal performance. They offer a full
range of options such as analog or digital set/readout, high pump
output and RS232 interface. |
|
TE-10A
|
|

|
The
TE10A clip on thermoregulator offers a temperature range
capability of -20°C to + 95°C, covering most
routine laboratory applications. A circulating pump with external
circulation connections is standard, as is adjustable over-temperature
cutout. |

|
The
TE10D Tempunit offers a temperature range capability of between
-40°C to +120°C. There is a digital temperature
selector, circulating pump with external circulation connections,
adjustable over-temperature cut-out and low liquid level cut-out. The
TU20D has a temperature range capability of -40°C to
+200°C and incorporates the additional feature of an RS232
port. The top of the range TU20C has additional features fitted as
standard including an audible alarm, a high capacity dual pressure pump,
cooling coil and also includes an RS232 port. The temperature range
capability is -40°C to +250°C. The TU20HT
is designed for internally circulated baths, thus it is not capable of
external pumping for re-circulation, but does include the cooling coil,
Thermsoft software and has an operating temperature range capability of
-40 to +250°C. For applications that require
sub-ambient operation, see our refrigeration
units for use in combination with the unheated baths or one of the
refrigerated
baths for an integrated system. Click
here to download the full version of ThermSoft software. It allows
you to create ramp and dwell programs and remotely control the TU20D,
TU20C and TU20HT from your PC . Thermsoft is included with the TU20C and
TU20HT and is a free download for the
TU20D. |

Fluids for Liquid
Baths

Want to get the best performance
from Techne liquid baths or those obtained from other sources? We highly
recommend the purchase of our bath fluids that offer proven bath performance
at a lower cost than traditional fluids.
Benefits and
features
- Low viscosity
- Improves bath uniformity and stability
- Enhanced heat-up and cool down rates
- Lower cost than glycol and silicone oil type fluids
- Safe and non-toxic
- Convenient easy pour 5 gallon containers
A hydrocarbon based fluid with the ideal combination of
Low toxicity and Low odor, making it an excellent
choice for use in liquid baths. Our low temperature fluid provides an
unmatched level of performance without imposing risk to the environment,
equipment, or personnel. The fluid offers a low viscosity rating and unequaled
heat transfer characteristics through its entire operating temperature range
down to -40ºC, with a recommended maximum of +125ºC.
A fume hood is recommended for open baths being operated at
temperatures above +50ºC.
The high temperature fluid offers industry a practically non-toxic,
versatile bath fluid that has proven to be cost effective and thermally stable
at temperatures up to +250ºC. This fluid has demonstrated excellent
performance over a wide range of temperature without compromising economics or
system integrity. Unlike the less stable mineral oil based fluid, our high
temperature fluid provides the user with the confidence and reliability for
long term usage without the premium price of other fluids. Recommended
temperature +60 to +250 degrees C.
As with most high temperature fluids, a fume hood is
recommended for operating temperatures above 150ºC.

In many cases, our stated display accuracy may be enough for
your application but we suggest using an independent reference
thermometer to measure the temperature of your calibration bath,
dry well block calibrator, fluidised bath or thermal
cycler. The Tecal Accu-Temp RTD indicator is a bench
top high accuracy instrument, offering a two probe input and
resolution of 0.001 at a lower cost than competitive units. Add one
or two of our ITS-90 calibrated Model WSP660
PRT's to the Accu-Temp for high overall system accuracy. We
also offer ITS-90 calibrations and recalibration on
the sensors you supply or already own. Our low cost, high accuracy
thermometer choice is the Model
4400. It offers four probe types one for general purpose use,
another for 0.2 and 0.5 thermal cyclers and the third for 384 well
thermal cyclers. This unit also includes a foam lined carrying
case. All of our thermometer systems include a NIST traceable
calibration certificate with all of the relevant calibration
data.

Techne Model
4400 High Accuracy Thermometer
Techne hand-held Model 4400 Series Ultra-High Accuracy
Thermometers take metrology-level temperature measurement to the
laboratory, the production floor, and the field.
Ultra-high
thermometer accuracy up to ±0.015°C is achieved because the thermometer
uses extremely stable components and circuitry. Each thermometer is
electronically calibrated, maintaining excellent repeatability. The 4400
System uses coefficients for the Probes with the Stienhart-Hart
algorithm to calculate the exact temperature reading every time you plug
in a probe to take a measurement.
The 4400 series thermometers
are configured and hardwired to the specified probe and calibrated as a
system for high accuracy. When one type of probe will do the job a
hardwired system offers excellent repeatability with ultra high accuracy
over a wider range. |

Our
PRT's offers proven and reliable performance for your critical temperature
measurements. They can be used with our Tecal Accu-Temp indicator or
any comparable model. Both models include an ITS-90 calibration (NIST
traceable) certificate with coefficients and resistance
vs. temperature table. The WSP660 gives an SPRT level of performance
and specifications at an affordable price, while the 300 deg.C model
is an Industrial RTD designed for lower accuracy
measurements.

PRT |

Model WSP660 PRTs are assembled using our special wire
wound RTD elements, assembled into inconel sheaths. The WSP660 PRT has
similar accuracy and long-term stability specifications you would find
in much higher priced Primary standard PRTs. The WSP660 PRT can be used
as a reference standard in calibration baths, furnaces, fluidized baths,
dry block calibrators and other any other temperature calibration work
requiring a high level of accuracy and repeatability. Combine
