Self Contained Water Level Dataloggers Product Description
The DCX-22 Self Contained Water Level Dataloggersare highly accurate, self-contained, battery powered absolute pressure waterlevel loggers designed to record water depth and temperature over long periods. The absolute pressure water level sensor, electronics and battery are housed ina rugged, double-sealed 316 stainless steel tube for long term submersibledeployment. The DCX-22 Self Contained Water Level Dataloggers require noexternal wires and may be suspended with any suitable and secure cable. When its time to download the recorded data, the DCX-22 Self Contained WaterLevel Dataloggers are simply retrieved from the measurement point and the doublesealed end cap is then removed to access the absolute pressure water levelsensor’s data port.
DCX-22 Baro Barometric Pressure Logger
When using the DCX-22 Self Contained Water Level Dataloggers in shallow waterdepths where the influence of barometric pressure changes should be considered,the DCX-22 Barologger is placed at the surface near the Self Contained WaterLevel Datalogger, to record the barometric pressure. The two values arethen quickly and accurately correlated by the software once the data files aredownloaded to your PC. The DCX-22 Barologger is built to the same exactingspecifications as the DCX-22 Self Contained Water Level Dataloggers except thatits sensor and electronics are calibrated to read and record barometricpressure.
|Warning: Absolute Pressure Water Level Loggers may have readings with errors of up to 10 due to barometric pressure changes, unless extreme caution is used. The Self Contained Water Level Dataloggerssoftware is compatible with Windows 2000/NT/XP/ME and 9X. Simple andwell structured software with many functions, such as:
- Setting of measuring frequency
- Measuring data in mWC or any other unit (programmable by user)
- Programming of measuring start (date and time)
- Event-activation of the Self Contained Water Level Dataloggers: Absolute or percental change of the water level, exceeding or dropping below a certain pressure
With this softwarethe DCX-22 Self Contained Water Level Dataloggers can be configured and readout. The absolute pressure water level sensor’s data can be processed i.e.graphical representation, exportation, compensation of ambient pressure as wellas conversion into water level. The online function shows actualmeasurements of the Self Contained Water Level Datalogger. Due to themodular structure of the software, customer-specific data formats can beimplemented on request. On request, a handheld WindowsCE application forthe absolute pressure water level sensor’s data read-out is available.
Self-contained Water Level Dataloggers workwell for many users because the depth of deployment is not dependant on thelength of the cable. For example, a 15′ water level datalogger with ventedcable might come with 25 or 30 feet of cable, which is the best solution if youknow exactly where the water level datalogger is going to be installed and onlyforesee using it in applications with similar or shorter cable requirements inthe future. But if you need to drop the water level datalogger over theside of a bridge, or off a high dock, or down a deep well hole where the staticwater level is many feet below surface, the water level datalogger’s 15′ sensorrange is great but you might have to have 200 feet of cable to get to the waterlevel measurement point. The self-contained Water Level Datalogger reallyshines in these situations, even though it requires a greater investment andrequires a barometric compensating datalogger for full accuracy.
