InsertionMagmeters Product Description

The EX81 is an insertionelectromagnetic flowmeter for use with conductive liquids in pipe sizes 1” to4”. The EX82, Insertion Magmeter, is for use with pipe sizes 6” to10”. The EX83, Insertion Magmeter, is a stainless steel electromagneticflowmeter designed for use with pipes 12 inches in diameter. With nomoving parts, the insertion electromagnetic flowmeter is highly suitable forcorrosive environments and for difficult applications such as those involvingchanging viscosities and pulsating flows. The insertion electromagneticflowmeter is particularly recommended for metering the output of air-drivendiaphragm pumps.

Designed for modularity and versatility, the EX80 series, insertionelectromagnetic flowmeters, have a current-sinking pulse output, which can becombined with the appropriate transmitter or indicator depending on theapplication. For 4-20mA analog output and display of rate and total, anFT420, pulse and 4-20mA output, can be used. For a 4-20mA analog outputonly, the AO55, blind 4-20mA converter, can be mounted directly onto the meter. If the EX80 series, Insertion Magmeter, is being used with a programmablecontroller, the output signal can be fed direct with no other conditioningrequired.

The EX80 series, insertion electromagnetic flowmeters, requires a specialfitting, since it is not depth-adjustable as are the EX100/200 series meters. Installation in the fitting ensures correct depth placement in the pipe. Fittings and sensors are available in PVC and stainless steel.
