Extech CT80 Circuit Analyzer with AFCI and GFCI

The Extech CT80 Circuit Analyzer quickly checks for the correct wiring of AFCI/GFCI outlets & circuit breakers. The analyzer features many tester functions, has a CAT II 300 Volt safety rating and is complete with a year warranty and AC test cord.

The CT80 can detect circuit and wiring problems such as poor ground impedance, false grounds, missing ground fault protection, low voltage availability under load, and high ground-to-neutral voltage. In addition, the CT80 can be used reliably on GFCI, EPD, and AFCI circuits.

The Extech CT80 AC Circuit Load Tester can test outlets or circuits under load in a matter of seconds for proper wiring, reverse polarity, and the presence of a ground. The CT-80 uses a simple menu-driven display to allow the user to quickly see line voltage, voltage drop under full load, ground-to-neutral voltage, and line impedance.

The GFCI and AFCI testing utility is performed separately per UL-1436, disrupting the flow of electricity if a functioning GFCI or AFCI is present.

Large LCD Display

The big digit screen has a large LCD display with color pass/fail test alerts.

Selectable loads of 12, 15 and 20 Amps

The CT80 displays percent voltage drop with 15A load; the Loaded Voltage (VI) also displays a load voltage result for 20A and 12A loads.

AC Load Tester

Quickly and safely measure loaded and unloaded AC Line Voltage, % Voltage Drop and Line Impedance, and Peak Line Voltage and Frequency.

Outlet Tester

As an outlet tester, the CT80 displays: neutral to ground voltage; hot, neutral and ground impedance; AFCI; GFCI trip time; GFCI and EPD trip current; open or reversed wiring; and AFCC (Available Short Circuit Current).

Tests GFCI and EPD Circuits

The GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt) test faults a circuit when 6 to 9mA from hot to ground is detected; for breakers equipped with an EPD (Equipment Protective Device), the breaker trips for ground faults greater than 30mA.

AFCI Circuit Test

One-button AFCI operation for quick and accurate Arc Fault Circuit interrupter testing.

Voltage Measurements

The CT80 displays the True RMS line voltage, line voltage, ground-to-neutral voltage, Peak Voltage (P), and Frequency (Hz).
