The Model 50202 Precipitation Gaugeaccurately measures rain or snow precipitation without moving parts.Insulated housings and thermostatically controlled heaters permit operation attemperatures below freezing. Unlike conventional tipping-bucket and weighinggauges the 50202 has no moving parts, making the instrument ideal for use onmoving platforms such as buoys and ships. Precipitation measurement is made witha capacitive transducer and electronic circuit that produces a voltage output.Total precipitation can be tracked by a datalogger or recorder.
