AdjustableTurbine Flow Meters Product Description

The TX100/200 series, adjustable insertion turbineflow meters, use ruby bearings and a non-drag pick-off to achieve a wide flowrange and long life.  A sensor mounted in the body of the turbine flowmeter detects the passage of miniature magnets in the rotor blades. (Magnets are in 2 or 4 blades only.)  The resulting square-wave signal canbe sent from the turbine flow meters for hundreds of feet without a transmitter,over unshielded cable.  This square wave signal can be sent directly to aPLC or other control, or can be converted using a blind 4-20mA output or flowrate and totalizer display.

Designed for modularity and versatility, theTX100/200 series, adjustable insertion turbine flow meters, have acurrent-sinking pulse output, which can be combined with the appropriatetransmitter or indicator depending on the application.  For rate and totaldisplay the FT415 or FT420 flow indicator can be mounted directly on theTX100/200 series adjustable insertion turbine flow meters or on a convenientwall.  For a 4-20mA analog output only, the AO55 blind 4-20mA converter canbe mounted directly onto the turbine flow meter or onto a nearby wall.  Ifthe TX100/200 series, adjustable insertion turbine flow meters, are being usedwith a programmable controller, the output signal can be fed direct with noother conditioning required.

The installation fitting of the TX100/200series adjustable turbine flow meter is standard 1-1/2" male NPT, and canbe directly threaded into ordinary saddles or threaded weld fittings.  Adepth adjustment system integrated into the design of the turbine flow metersallow two basic meter sizes to cover pipe sizes from 3" to 48".
